A Letter from Pastor McCutchen...

Colleyville Assembly of God is made up of a loving body of believers and seekers. New families and individuals continue to join our ranks regularly. Week by week we experience the blessings of the Holy Spirit in our worship services, as the congregation seems so open and hungry for the things of God. Truly Christ is getting His “Bride” ready for the day of the rapture!
This assembly is the result of two great churches, both with rich heritages, which merged in August of 2003 to form one unified body. They were First Assembly of God and Pleasant Glade Assembly of God.
First Assembly of God was birthed in 1967 under the ministry of Pastor Doyle Brown. A total of eight families made up the first congregation. The church grew and expanded continuously until today it covers almost 12 acres on Colleyville Boulevard. Pleasant Glade Assembly of God was begun in 1936 at an old school house on Glade Road by a group of laypersons. It too grew and expanded, finally relocating on 9 acres of prime property in the heart of Colleyville. Today, the merged body occupies the Colleyville Boulevard campus.
The heart of this assembly is to reach out to our world with the love of God. People of all ages, and from all walks of life, will find a warm welcome within the doors of this church, where Christ is uplifted and preached as the answer to all of life’s needs.
We believe that the Bible is the unfailing Word of God, and its truths can be applied to every situation of life. We believe in salvation through the atoning work of Jesus at Calvary. We believe in the Holy Trinity… Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that the fruit and gifts of the Holy Spirit ought to be in the believer’s life in balance. We believe there is coming a day when all men will stand before their Creator and be judged for the choices they made in this life. We are here to learn more about God, and to encourage persons to make the right choice, to serve Christ!
It would be our joy to have you come to visit us on any Sunday. You will be uplifted by the spirit of praise and friendliness of our great congregation. Pastors Lloyd and Toni McCutchen would love to meet you. May the Lord richly bless you is our prayer!
